Version: October 2026. This statement explains which personal data SkyWave Cargo B.V. processes through this website and in our services, why, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
SkyWave Cargo B.V., Folkstoneweg 48, 1118 LM Schiphol, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce no. 80352308, is the controller. Questions about privacy: solutions@skywavecargo.com or +31 (0)20 261 2484.
Which data we process
Quote form and email: name, company, email address, phone number, origin, destination and cargo details you provide. Shipments: contact details of shippers, consignees and contacts as needed to carry out and clear the shipment. Website: our host processes technical data such as IP address, browser and time of visit to deliver and secure the site.
Why, and on what legal basis
To answer your request and prepare a quote (steps prior to a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To carry out shipments (performance of a contract). To meet legal duties such as customs and tax rules (Art. 6(1)(c)). To keep the website secure and run our business relationships (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies and tracking
This website places no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own website, so your visit is not shared with Google or other third parties. Links to LinkedIn, Google Maps, our tracking portal or other sites take you to services with their own privacy terms.
Who receives your data
Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives the quote form (data stored in the United States). Microsoft processes our email (Microsoft 365). For shipments we share the necessary data with airlines, shipping lines, carriers, agents and customs authorities. All processors work under a data processing agreement. We never sell personal data.
Transfers outside the EU
Netlify stores form submissions in the United States. This transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses in Netlify's data processing agreement. Shipment data goes to the countries of origin, transit and destination where this is necessary to carry out the transport you ordered.
How long we keep data
Form submissions: removed from the website platform within 90 days; the request itself stays in our mailbox as long as needed for the quote and follow-up, and at most 2 years without an order. Shipment and invoice records: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law. Technical website data: only as long as our host needs it for security.
Security
The website runs only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to personal data is limited to staff who need it, and our accounts use two-factor authentication. If a data breach occurs, we report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority and, where required, to the people involved.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email solutions@skywavecargo.com; we respond within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Do you have to provide data?
No. But without contact and cargo details we cannot prepare a quote or carry out a shipment.
Changes
We update this statement when our processing changes. The current version is always on this page.
